Willis L. Coffey

Mr. Willis L. Coffey age 93, of Mt.Vernon passed Monday May 27, 2019 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1925 in Mt.Vernon, Ky. the son of the late Robert Lee and Sally Livesay Coffey. He was a retired farmer & mail carrier, was an Army Veteran of WWII, enjoyed fishing & gardening, loved his family, and was a member of the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church.

            Survivors are: two sons; Steve, and Willis Gene Coffey both of Mt.Vernon. Two brothers; Bill, and Donald Coffey also of Mt.Vernon. One sister; Kathleen Machal of Crab Orchard. Nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild also survives. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife; Mrs. Ada Jean Burdette Coffey, and by two sons; Tommy, and Keith Coffey. 

            Funeral services for Mr. Willis L. Coffey will be conducted 11 AM Thursday May 30, 2019 at the Cox Funeral Home with grandson; Bro. Ryan Coffey & granddaughter; Kellan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill        Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Wednesday.
