Stephen C. Bullen

Mr. Stephen C. Bullen age 89, of Mt.Vernon passed away Wednesday August 7, 2019 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born on November 14, 1929 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Willie and Minerva Caudill Bullen. He was retired farmer & Forest Ranger for the State of Ky., an Army Veteran of the Korean War, enjoyed fishing,  a Gideon, active in the jail ministry, was a deacon, a Sunday School Teacher & Song Leader, at the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church where he was a member.

            Survivors are: one son; Gary Bullen & (Jan) of Apex, N.C. . Three daughters; Marcia Bird & (Wayne) of Williamsburg, Ky., Mary Mathis & (Terry) of Somerset, and Sandy Riddle & (David) of Brodhead. One brother; William K. Bullen of Lincoln County. One sister; Jean Hayes of Grey Hawk, Ky.. Ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: his wife; Joyce Bullen, by one son; Scott Bullen, and by two sisters; Katerine Bullen, and Virginia Branscum.

            Funeral services for Mr. Stephen C. Bullen will be conducted 2 PM Saturday August 10, 2019 at the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Turner & Bro. James Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM Friday.
