Sharon Lovins Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Rose Lovins was born to C.S. and Marie McKinney on March 10, 1946 in Hansford, Kentucky. She passed away at her home in Mount Vernon, Kentucky on July 12, 2020 at the age of 74. She is preceded in death by her parents C.S. and Marie Mckinney and her granddaughter Marissa Kiser.  Sharon is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Lovins, Sr.; her children, Joe Joe (Caroline) Lovins, Jack Lovins (Tracey Bullock), Jim (Jenny) Lovins, and Jamie Lovins-Groves; her grandchildren, Alexis, Dalton, Samarah, Chance, Wiley, Chesney, Chase, Riley, Chaden, and Silas; four great grandchildren, Her dear special friends who have stayed by her side throughout her illness, Regina Burton, Linda McKinney, Mary and CC Ponder, Sheary Mink, and Onna Kay Owens; her siblings, Jack McKinney and Lillian Renner; and so many more wonderful friends, neighbors, and family. Sharon was the most selfless, loving person who enjoyed her children and grandchildren immensely. She loved being with her friends and always lended a helping hand  to anyone who needed it.

    In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the McKinney Cemetery Committee P.O. Box 1404 Mt.Vernon, KY 40456 or to Hospice Care Plus.

    A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home.
