Rhonda McFerron

Mrs. Rhonda McFerron age 60, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. She was born on March 19, 1963 in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of Mrs. Doris Kirby Sowder of Goshen, OH, and the late James Sowder. She was a retired child care worker who enjoyed singing, traveling to the beach, spending time with her children, and was a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church.

            Survivors besides her mother are: four daughters; Kristi Ann McFerron, Ashley Neal, Tricia Kanipe, and Amanda Ethington. One brother; James Sowder. Three sisters; Patricia Coffey, Sheila Slone, and Stephaine Sowder. 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren also survive. Besides her father she was also preceded in death by: her husband; Robert Eugene McFerron, by three brothers; Roger, Rick, and Steven Sowder, and by one sister; Joyce McFarland. 

            Funeral services for Mrs. Rhonda McFerron will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday January 4, 2024 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Wednesday.
