Oma Ott Obituary

Oma Bell (Hensley) Ott, age 73, of Rockcastle County passed away Wednesday September 28, 2022 at her home after a long illness.Oma was born on March 2, 1949 to the late John and Della Hensley.  She was a caregiver for many years at MacCready Manor, Kenwood and Crestview in Richmond, Kentucky. She also worked for the Madison County School District as a school bus driver for over ten years.  She was passionate about crocheting, knitting, and loved to cook and have family gatherings.

 

            Survivors are: three daughters; Connie Boree (Keith), Patricia Sanders (Lowe), Lora Hasty, One son; John Hasty (Victoria), Two brothers;  Lee and Monroe, Five sisters;  Myrtle, Faye, Mary, Reba and Edith.  Twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Ott, a daughter; Diane Lynn Markwell and brothers; Cecil, Tony and Paul Hensley.

 

            Funeral Services for Oma Bell (Hensley) Ott will be conducted on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Kentucky with Rev. Patricia Sanders officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral service in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Cox Funeral Home on Saturday October 1, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM.
