Obituary

Mr. Melvin Smith age 60, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1963 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Shirley and Alma Jean Falin Smith. He was a retired stone mason, and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.

Survivors are: two brothers; Mark Smith of Mt.Vernon, and Rodney Smith of Brodhead. One sister; Amy Barnes of Mt.Vernon also survives. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: two brothers; Marvin and Tim Smith, and by one sister; Enita Bradley.

Private services will be at a later date, and Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
