Mrs. Mary Jane Hasty age 71, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Monday November 30, 2020 after a long illness. She was born on August 6, 1949 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Eugene and Gertrude Capps Hasty. She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing bingo, crafts, cooking, watching T.V., and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors are: one son; Clyde Hasty of Mt.Vernon. She was preceded in death by: three brothers; E.J., Clyde Eugene, and Billy Hasty, and by three sisters; Joyce Marie Mink, Ruth Ella Rucker, and Ruby Mae Sparkman.
Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Jane Hasty will be conducted at 1 PM on Monday December 7, 2020 at the Poplar Grove Cemetery. The governor has required all visitations, funeral/memorial services and graveside/comital services be limited to 25 individuals total, regardless of where the services are held. All services are required to be private.
