Obituary

 

            Mr. Kenneth Carter age 99, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1923 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Charles C. and Sudie Mae Riddle Carter. He was a retired iron worker, a Navy Veteran of WWII, he enjoyed farming, politics, his family, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

            Survivors are: one son; Kenny Carter and (Pam) of Mt.Vernon. Two daughters; Carolyn Davis and (Billy) of Nicholasville, and Sharon Coffey and (Howard) of Eddyville. One sister; Irene Anderkin of Mansfield, OH. 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: his wife; Mrs. Martha Hall Carter, by one daughter; Deborah Carter Bridges, and by four brothers, and four sisters.

            Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Carter will be conducted 2 PM Saturday October 15, 2022 at the Bible Baptist Church with Bro. Travis Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home. Friends may visit at the Church from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, and from 1 PM until service time on Saturday.
