Harold Ray Lunsford

Mr. Harold Ray Lunsford age 75, of Mt.Vernon passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was born on July 6, 1943 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Elmer and Mary Frances Lunsford. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Roundstone, Ky. for 46 years, was a former Sunday School teacher, he enjoyed Gaither Homecoming Music, Kentucky Basketball, and most of all spending time with his children & grandchildren.

            Survivors are: his wife of 52 years; Pamara Cheryl Lunsford of Mt.Vernon. Three children; Tammy Powell & (Ray) of Berea, Jamie Doan & (Clinton) of Mt.Vernon, and Harold “Butch” Lunsford & (Shanna) of Mt.Vernon. One brother; Clyde Lunsford & (Helen) of Ohio. Six grandchildren; Nick Doan, Mathew Lunsford, Alisha Lewis, Ashley Powell, Ben Powell, and Rachelle Doan, eight great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by; five brothers; Frank, Albert, Bill, Bob, and Everett Lunsford, by two sisters; Iva Houk & Evelyn Frith, and by his father and mother-in-law; Byron and Glenna Baker.

            Funeral services for Mr. Harold Ray Lunsford will be conducted 2 PM Saturday July 21, 2018 at the Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Raymond Offutt & Bro. Matthew Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the Riddle Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Friday.
