Edward Donald McWhorter

Mr. Edward Donald McWhorter age 78 of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away on Friday October 4, 2019 at Stanford Care and Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 14, 1940 at home in the Twin Branch area of Laurel County, Kentucky, a son of the late Hubert and Lela Dobson McWhorter.  He was a retired milk truck driver. He enjoyed farming, working on cars and trucks, and spending time with his family. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors are: two daughters; Jessica Himes (Brandon) of Mt. Vernon, and Debra Howard (Mark) of London, Kentucky. Three grandchildren; Trinity Durham and Jacob Durham, both of Mt. Vernon and Marcus Howard of London, Kentucky. One sister; Doris Nunnelley of Florida.  Four brothers; Ernie McWhorter (Shirley), Wayne McWhorter, Gary McWhorter (Sheila) and Lyndon McWhorter, all of London, Kentucky.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Linda McWhorter and a son Timothy McWhorter.

Funeral Services for Edward Donald McWhorter will be conducted on Monday October 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held on Monday October 7, 2019 from 12 Noon until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow after the service in the Perry McWhorter Cemetery on Twin Branch Road in Laurel County, Kentucky.
