Dorothy (Cox) King

Mrs. Dorothy Cox King age 94, of Lexington passed away on Friday March 10, 2023 at the Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home in Lexington. She was born on January 12, 1929 in Mt.Vernon, KY the daughter of the late Claude and Amy Proctor Cox. She was a retired stock clerk, enjoyed reading her Bible, playing solitaire, and was a member of the CenterPointe Christian Church.

            Survivors are: one son; John King and wife (Terri) of Lexington. Four grandchildren; Brian King and (Heather), Tracie Boyle and (Jeremy), Melissa Dickerson and (Mike), and Jeremy Stewart and (Erica), 10 great grandchildren, and one special care giver; Clara Ray also survives. Besides her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by: her husband; Roy King, and by one daughter; Phoebe Stewart.

            Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Cox King will be conducted at 2PM on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
