Mr. Donnie Edgar Carpenter Jr. age 54, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Monday May 3, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1967 in Clay County, KY the son Donnie Carpenter Sr. of Mt.Vernon, and the late Geneva Gregory Carpenter. He worked at Trane Company, enjoyed working on things, 4-wheeling, going to the beach & Shaker Village, spending time with family, and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors besides his father are: his wife; Robin Stanfield Carpenter of Mt.Vernon. Two sons; Jesse Carpenter, and Donnie Carpenter both of London. One daughter; Megan Hedrick of London. Three sisters; Brenda Reynolds of Richmond, Angie Carpenter of Mt.Vernon, and Joyce Carpenter. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Donnie Edgar Carpenter Jr. will be conducted 2 PM Friday May 7, 2021 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Randy McFerron officiating. Burial will follow in the Phelps Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 1 PM until service time on Friday. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and funeral home capacity will be limited to 60%.
