Daniel “Danny” Lee Hines, age 75, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Saturday January 6th 2024 at his home. He was born October 4, 1948 in Mt.Vernon the son of the late Ernest and Mary Kirby Hines. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors are: one sister Patricia Kirby and brother Denver Wayne Hines. In addition, Danny also leaves behind two children, James Michael Hines and Edna Leanne Herzog. 5 grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his sisters; Edna Turner, Ada Payne, Tessie Turner, Vivian Bussell, Gertrude Turner, and Wathleen Adams, and by his brothers Roscoe “Ben” Hines, Bentley Hines, Charles Hines, Russell Hines, and Ellis Hines.
Funeral services for Daniel “Danny” Lee Hines will be conducted at 2PM on Thursday January 11, 2024 at Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Doan officiating. Burial will follow in the Wynn Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 1PM until time of service on Thursday.
