Carolyn Sue Evans

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Evans age 78, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was born on August 3, 1942 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Samuel and Hazel Ruth Roberts Whitaker. She was a retired cook & dietitian, enjoyed sewing & puzzles, and was a member of the Mt.Vernon Church of Christ.

            Survivors are: one son; Ricky Evans and (Cathy) of Mt.Vernon. Two brothers; Gary Whitaker and (Louetta), and Larry Whitaker and (Mary) all of Nicholasville. One sister; Louise Weathers and (David) of Mt.Vernon. One grandchild; Jessica Hodge and (Lloyd), three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband; Harold Evans, and by one brother; Samuel. 

            Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Sue Evans will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday July 3, 2021 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11 AM until time of service on Saturday.
