Bernice Lovell

Mrs. Bernice Lovell age 81, of , Ky. passed away on Friday September 29, 2023 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond after a long illness. She was born on May 9, 1942 in Laurel County, KY the daughter of the late Charlie and Hettie Brumley Smith. She was a retired sales associate, enjoyed gardening, flowers, arts & crafts, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, cooking, going out to eat, and was a member of the Union Chapel Baptist Church.

            Survivors are: four sons; Richard Allen Lovell, David Wayne Lovell and (Amy), Daniel Lee Lovell, and Wendell Ford Lovell and (Tiffany). Four daughters; Brenda Faye Oberson and (Martin), Charlotte Bradley, Teresa Lynn Cunagin and (Charlie) and Sharon Kay Cunagin and (Mike). Two brothers; Carl and Larry Smith. Three sisters; Burnett Wombles, Verna Hauser, and Lois Holder. 29 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by: her husband; Floyd Thomas Lovell, by 2 sons, by 2 brothers, and by 1 grandchild and one great grandchild.

            Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Lovell will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Eaton & Bro. James Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovell Cemetery.       

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Monday.
