Mrs. Ruby “Rene” Irene Bullock Sanning of Prospect, Kentucky passed away on Saturday November 16, 2019 at the Nazareth Home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Sand Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Oscar and Zora Isaacs Bullock. Her Career in fashion design started in Louisville, Ky. where she owned and owned and operated the store “The Garmet District” there she developed her unique talent. She successfully operated and 3 different Rene Rene stores in Atlanta. Most noted for her store in “Little Five Points” of Atlanta. Little Fuel Points was a well known major tourist stop for eclectic and unique shops and store fronts. She created and designed the “Rene Rene” womens brand of clothing, was written up in numerous newspaper articles, and narrated many of her fashion shows, promoted and sold her own brand, and created her own website. She often said the graduated design students would come to her to learn the basics of fashion design and many would volunteer to work alongside her for free to learn the business. She loved to: travel, fox news, and her family, even tried her hand at golf, and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors are: Her husband of 46 years: Alfred George Sanning, Jr. of Prospect. One son: Al Sanning III of Louisville, Kentucky; Five daughters: Debbie Eggers of Ormond Beach, Florida, Alison Wood of Greenville South Carolina, Jan Seabolt, Barbie Wimsatt, and Kathy Kincheloe, all of Louisville, Kentucky; One brother: Lawrence Bullock of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. One sister: Sally Britton of Louisville, Kentucky. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one son, John Anthony Laswell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rene Irene Sanning will be conducted 2 PM Tuesday November 19, 2019 at
the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Marcus Reppert officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1 PM until time of service on Tuesday.
