Ronald Barnes

Mr. Ronald Barnes age 77, of Mt.Vernon passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 7, 1941 in Mt.Vernon, Ky. the son of the late and James William and Hazel Bessie Childress Barnes. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, spending time at the V.F.W. Club, and was a member of the  Baptist faith.

            Survivors are: one son; David Barnes of Mt.Vernon. Two grandchildren; Kendra & Isaiah Barnes. One nephew; Donnie Barnes and wife (Elisha), Three nieces; Donna Smith, Rosemary Noe and husband (B.J.), and Rhonda Durham. Several other nieces & nephews also survive. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by: one son; Calvin Barnes, by two brothers; Donald, and Kenneth Barnes, and by two sisters; Betty Gregory, and Mary Delaney.

            Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Barnes will be conducted 2 PM Saturday February 16, 2019 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Doan officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home friends may visit from 12 to 2 PM on Saturday.
