Raymond C. Decker

Mr. Raymond C. Decker, 79 of Mt. Vernon died Tuesday September 17, 2002 at the Patti A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond, KY. He was born on May 8, 1923 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Jimmy and Minnie Deatherage Decker. He was a retired truck driver for the Bluegrass Ordnance Depot a Navy Veteran of World War II, enjoyed fishing, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors are: One son; Ray Decker and wife, Jenny of Berea, Ky. One daughter; Mrs. Wilma Lamb and husband, Donnie of Mt. Vernon. Four brothers: James and Clarence Decker both of Mt. Vernon, Paris Decker of Lockland, OH, and Russell Decker of Sharonville, OH. Two sisters: Mrs. Thelma Bullock of Lexington, KY and Mrs. Mazie Childress of West Chester, OH. Three grandchildren: Jeffery Floyd Decker, Terry Lee Price, and Andrea Rae Lingenfelter, and three great grandchildren; Donald Jeffery Decker, Timothy James Decker, and Gavin Lingenfelter. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Elmer and Sim Decker and by one sister; Mrs. Ruth Middleton.
