Leroy Sowder

Mr. Leroy Sowder age 71, of Berea, and formerly of Mt.Vernon passed away     Thursday June 21, 2018 at the Rockcastle Health & Rehab Center in Brodhead. He was born on December 22, 1946 in Mt.Vernon the son of the late Shirley and Meada Durham Sowder .  He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Baptist faith.

            Survivors are: one son; Adam Sowder of Gray Hawk. One daughter; Robyn Setter of Fairfield, Oh. Three sisters; Irene Thomason, Martha Cox, and Shirley Cox all of Mt.Vernon. Three grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by; three brothers; Virgil, Eddie, and Ernest Sowder, and by one sister; Virginia Rose Nichols.

            Graveside services for Mr. Leroy Sowder will be conducted 10 AM Saturday June 23, 2018 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. Luther Allen officiating.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home.
