James Shirley Fish

Mr. James Shirley Fish age 82, of Mt.Vernon, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2018 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born on August 7, 1935 in Wildie, Ky. the son of the late Charlie and Bessie Townsend Fish. He was a retired cabinet maker, a U.S. Army Veteran, enjoyed bird watching, woodworking, gardening, and was a member of the Baptist faith.

            Survivors are: two sons; Tim & Angela Fish of Finchville, Ky, and Jan & Kathy Fish of Waynesburg, Ky. One daughter; Sherry & David Green of Panama City, Fl. Four sisters; Mildred Rigsby & Pauline Russell both of Richmond, Ind., Norma Dunham of Renfro Valley, and Fern Abney of Berea. Seven grandchildren, and one special nephew; Brent Jones of London, Ky. also survives. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by: one brother; Charles Fish, and by three sisters; Avis Jordan, Julia T. Clark, and June Lawrence.

Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 12 to 2 PM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to: Hospice Care Plus 208 Kidd Drive, Berea, Ky. 40403.
