Harry Harmon Obituary

Mr. Harry L. Harmon, age 79, of Evans, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Harry was a loving and devoted husband of 60 years to Patricia Taylor Harmon. Harry was a native of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. He worked for many years as the manager of Brodhead Feed Mill and later became director for the Rockcastle County ambulance service and finished his years at the Rockcastle County Hospital where he enjoyed serving and caring for others.
Harry displayed God’s love to everyone he met. He was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, he led the men’s prayer group, served as a deacon, and was a faithful servant to the Lord! He was affectionately known as “Pop“  to many, especially his grandchildren, whom he lovingly teased and brought much fun and laughter to the family!
Family members in addition to his wife include Larry C. Harmon (Kaye) and Jeffery M. Harmon (Adrianne); 3 grandsons: Jay (Rachael) Caleb, and Luke Harmon; and two granddaughters: Catarina Harmon and Mackenzie King.

Funeral services for Mr. Harry Harmon will be conducted  1 PM Thursday November 15, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Mt.Vernon with Bro.  Eddie Nation officiating. Burial will follow in the  Elmwood Cemetery. Because Harry loved sharing God‘s hope and promises, memorial contributions may be made to West Acres Baptist Church LOFJ mission fund, 555 Gibbs Rd., Evans, GA 30809.
