Gordon Ray Hayes

Mr. Gordon Ray Hayes age 69, of Mt.Vernon, KY passed away Monday March 5, 2018 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1948 in Brodhead, KY        the son of the late James C. and Anna Barnett Hayes. He was a retired truck driver, enjoyed yard work, spending time with his grandchildren, working on his Harley, and was a member of the Baptist faith.

            Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Wilma Barnett Hayes of Mt.Vernon. One son; Elvis Hayes and Stephanie of Mt.Vernon. One step-son; Lewis Calvin Denney and Darlene of Mt.Vernon. One sister; Jackie Bullock and Gordon of Brodhead. Three grandchildren; Joshua Gordon, Jessica Michelle, and Madison Rachele Hayes, and two great grandchildren; Aubrey Rayne Clouse, and Isabella Jade McClure. One special family friend Kim Hayes also survives. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: three brothers; Barry, Ronnie, and Jimmy Hayes, and by two sisters; Carolyn Sue Robbins, and Connie McClure.

            Funeral services for Mr. Gordon Ray Hayes will be conducted 2 PM Saturday March 10, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

            Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Friday.
