Mrs. Elma June Rash Parsons age 90, of Wildie, KY went to her heavenly home on April 27, 2019 at The Terrace Nursing Home & Rehab Center in Berea. She was born on August 5, 1928 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Ottie and Ella Cromer Rash. She was a nurse’s aid for the Rockcastle County School System for 45 years at Roundstone Elementary where she was affectionately known as Mrs. June by children & staff. She enjoyed quilting & cooking and was a member of the Wildie Christian Church.
Survivors are; two sons; Jimmy Parsons and (Bertie), and Dale Parsons and (Norma) all of Berea. Two brothers; Harold Rash and (Janet), and Billy Rash and (Jenny). Three grandchildren; Leah Banks & (Michael), Denise Wallin & (Josh), and James Whitney-Todd Parsons & (Rachael). Five great grandchildren; Bethany Leah Banks, Austin Reed Banks, James Tyler “J.T.” Parsons, Justin Dwight Parsons, and Mathew Chase Wallin, several nieces & nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband; Thomas Jackson “T.J.” Parsons, and by three sisters; Edna Blair, Faye Mullins, and Macie Stevens. Mrs. June was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elma June Rash Parsons will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday May 1, 2019 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Dale McNew officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home friends may visit from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday.
