"Colonel" Carl E. Payne

"Colonel" Carl E. Payne, 58 of Route #4 Mt. Vernon died Thursday August 5, 2004 at his home after an illness of several months. He was born on August 12, 1945 in Mt. Vernon the son of the late Boyd H. and Nellie Cromer Payne. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors are: Two brothers; Bill Payne of St. Paris, Ohio and J. D. Payne of Richmond, KY. One sister; Elizabeth Johnson of Stanford, KY. and special nephew and neice; Rodger and Darlene Payne.

Service: 2:00 PM Sunday August 8, 2004 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel
