Thelma Jean Boone

Mrs. Thelma Jean Boone age 64, of Mt.Vernon passed away Monday July 17, 2017 at her home in the arms of her loving husband of 48 years with their children by their side. She was born June 13, 1953 in Reading, OH the daughter of the late Shirley and Mona Doan Cromer. She was a cook at Snack Shack for many years, first with Russell Robbins & Peggy Bowling, then later with Glenda Doan Smith whom she loved dearly, she then decided it was just too hard to work at Snack Shack during the day, and helping her daughter fulfill her dreams in the evening, so she decided to leave and come and help Marcella. She enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, traveling to the Tennessee Mountains, spending time with family, and was a devout Christian woman who loved serving others, and was a member of the Blue Springs Church of Christ.

            Survivors are: her husband of 48 years; Brent Boone. Three daughters; Marcella Lovell (Billy), Suella Birney (Richard), and Becky Mays (Scott). One son; Daniel Boone (Tara). One brother; Ernie Cromer, and one sister; Helen Rice. Six grandsons; J.T, Brent, and Logan Lovell, Zack Napier, Hunter Birney, and Clifton Boone. Three great grandchildren; Jase Napier, Adisynne & Caden Lovell, several nieces and nephews, and three special little friends; Chase, Waylon & Emma and numerous others that called her “Ma Boone” also survive.
